Greg ed WIS in 2017 from its sister station in New Orleans, WVUE, where he was a morning anchor and reporter.

His prior broadcasting stops included Kansas City and Lansing, Michigan.

He counts himself blessed to call the Midlands home!

In the years since Greg arrived in Columbia, he has received numerous awards, including 10 Emmy nominations, winning two Emmy Awards in 2018 and 2019.

He was also honored with the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences “Excellence in My Market Award” in 2020 as the "Best Live Reporter".

In 2021, Greg and his co-anchor were named "TV News Anchor Team of the Year" from the RTDNA of the Carolinas.

That same year, Greg was named “TV Personality of the Year” in South Carolina, an award given by the South Carolina Broadcasters Association.

In 2024, that organization named Greg South Carolina’s “Anchor of the Year”.

Greg has covered the major stories that have impacted the Midlands in his tenure -- everything from hurricanes to election coverage, COVID-19, and the funeral of the late Rev. Billy Graham.

In 2023, Greg also reported live for 6 weeks from Walterboro, for gavel to gavel coverage of South Carolina’s trial of the century, the State vs. Richard Alexander Murdaugh.

The following year, WIS earned the STAR award from South Carolina Broadcasters Association for “Best Coverage of the Murdaugh Trial.”

Greg also tells heartwarming feature stories and has a ion for writing and storytelling, on air and online.

In consecutive years, 2023 and 2024, Adaline’s feature stories were named the best in the state from the SCBA.

You can follow Greg on Facebook at Greg Adaline WIS. A handful of his posts on life and faith have reached over 1 million people each.

Greg’s first big break in TV news came in May of 2004, when the NBC in Detroit offered him a three-month on-air reporting job.

Greg was selected from a pool of 300 candidates and won the job through a two-week audition process that played out on live TV!

Greg and his wife Kristen are the proud parents of four kids. So accordingly, he enjoys telling some “groan-worthy” Dad Jokes. He also has three dogs, a labradoodle and two yorkies. It makes for a fun house!
