WASHINGTON (Gray DC) - Iran launched missiles targeting Israel, less than a day after Israel launched a surprise attack on Iran.

On social media, President Donald Trump praised Israel, noting that the nation has a lot of American military equipment and they know how to use it.

President Trump says he was aware of Israel’s plans to attack Iran. And he’s now warning Iran that it risks even more brutal attacks.

President Trump on Truth Social writing that Iran should soon agree to a nuclear deal “before there is nothing left.” Trump also writing that Iranian leaders “didn’t know what was about to happen. They are all DEAD now, and it will only get worse!”

Financial markets declined sharply Friday, concerned that a new Mideast conflict could impact global oil supplies.

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, the president said that markets would ultimately respond positively, “because Iran will not have a nuclear weapon.”

Israel said it had damaged a key Iranian nuclear facility. And Iran confirmed that several military commanders were killed.

Initial reports from the region said Israel launched attacks at more than 100 targets in Iran and Iran’s retaliation has injured at least 17 Israelis.

Meanwhile, the Pentagon is positioning warships in the region to help protect Israel and American troops from possible Iranian retaliation.
