No one injured in structure fire on Old Barnwell Road
MONTMORENCI, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - Aiken County crews have responded to a structure fire on Old Barnwell Road, according to authorities.
Dispatch says the fire happened around 4:11 a.m.
Officials with Montmorenci Fire Department says a erby reported the fire.
Fire officials say no one was in the home at the time of the fire.
They say the homeowners were in the process of moving out and were in Allendale when the fire happened.
Along with the Montmorenci Fire Department, Couchton and Windsor fire departments were on the scene. The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office was also on scene to provide traffic control.
70-year-old man sent to hospital after SWAT standoff in Augusta
A 70-year-old man was sent to the hospital after a SWAT standoff in Augusta early Friday morning.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time, according to officials.
Officials say Old Barnwell Road was closed off while crews worked to put out the fire, but it has reopened.
