FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA/Gray News) - An 11-year-old boy in Indiana was stabbed by a man wearing a “Scream” mask, according to authorities.

According to witnesses, 27-year-old Trayveon Sewell, who was wearing a “Scream” mask, approached an 11-year-old boy and stabbed him in the abdomen.

The child was taken to the hospital for his injuries, where he was reported to be in non-life-threatening condition.

Shortly after, police say they went to the Sewel’s home in the 4500 block of Atwood Drive and arrested him.

Sewell faces a preliminary charge of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, a Level 6 felony.

Detectives are actively interviewing witnesses and seeking video footage to further the investigation.
